Marshmello apologizes for canceling live performance – International artiste Marshmello has apologized for canceling his live performance “Marshmello Live In Nepal” scheduled at Club Déjà Vu, Durbar Marg in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The event was organized by 61 Live Pvt. Ltd. The representative from Marshmello’s team expressed his disappointment on the cancellation of the event stating, “We’ve never missed a show and this is the last thing we would want.”
Fans and audience were outraged and indulged in vandalism when the emcee announced in the wee hours of Thursday saying that International artiste Marshmello was unable to perform due to health reasons. According to Mayenk Khadka, one of the proprietors of Club Deja Vu, while no serious injuries were sustained, the club premises bore the brunt of the ire, with damages “estimated at about Rs 10 million.”

Metropolitan Police Crime Investigation Department chief SP Dibesh Lohani said that the operators of Club Deja Vu were arrested for ‘overselling’ tickets. He said that although the club can accommodate only 3,500 people, it sold tickets to 7,000 people.
