First in Asia, Made in Nepal Robots Serve At This Cafe in Kathmandu Called Naulo!


    Amidst many restaurants in Durbarmarg, this one catches everybody’s attention! And why not? it is the Asia’s first cafe to replace waiters with ROBOTS and use Nepal made robots in fact! All the technology deployed at Naulo have been proudly made in Nepal.

    Naulo just as the name suggests is unique indeed and has become the talk of the town. On arrival, customers are welcomed by the robots names Ginger who would eventually bring food to your table.

    Designed as a complete digital robotics restaurant with innovative technology, at Naulo, the traditional tables have been replaced with digital table with attached screens. You just click what you like and it reaches the kitchen automatically. Once the orders are ready, the robots collect the food from the kitchen counter and bring to your table. You would then be politely requested by the robot to take food from the tray.

    They are able to do basic communication which makes the environment at the cafe very cheerful. Waiter robots, Ginger work in co-ordination with each other serving you food and interacting with you while Ferry, a delivery robot adds delight to the environment by bringing you cutlery.

    But hey, don’t think that the robots are the only attraction there. Food is delicious and and ambiance is soothing too!

    Naulo is a brainchild of Nepalese robotics and AI company Paaila Technology. With the commencement of this restaurants, the parent company has come into the attention of many IT companies around the globe and we are sure this is just the beginning of taking steps towards digitization growth in Nepal.
    The icing to the cake is that the robots don’t just serve you but are able to crack jokes as well!
