After much excitement Jagadamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the distributor of Proton cars in Nepal has made its sedan available in Nepal. The Malaysian brand Proton has been active in the automotive market for over three decades and has served customers from over 70 countries, Nepal included.
Proton is a Malaysian car manufacturer that serves across 70 countries. Proton Saga won the Best Compact Sedan in 2019. It is available in two variants, 1.3 Standard MT which is priced at NRs. 35,50,000 and 1.3 Premium AT which is priced at NRs. 39,50,000.
The looks, specs and performance of the Proton Saga is similar to the Malaysian version. However, there are two key differences: the cars are sold in Nepal with an upgraded air-conditioning system with airflow direction controls and an extra heater. The other features of the car are the same as in other countries. The Standard manual version coming with halogen headlights, a read spoiler, 14-inch steel wheels with hubcaps, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, driver’s seat height adjustment, fabric upholstery, a touch-panel radio/Bluetooth head unit, two speakers, rear parking sensors, dual airbags and ABS with EBD and brake assist.
